Estimados compañeros y amigos:

Es para nosotros un honor invitarles a participar en el XII Congreso Mundial de Bioética en la ciudad de Gijón, del 13 al 15 de mayo de 2024. Será la undécima vez desde los inicios de esta convocatoria científica, que esta ciudad alberga tan importante evento, y, por lo tanto, sentimos una enorme responsabilidad por una parte, y alegría y orgullo por otra. Esperamos estar a la altura de sus expectativas.

 El lema del Congreso «Edición Genética CRISPR. Aspectos Bioéticos y Jurídicos»

Hemos elaborado el programa científico intentando abarcar las novedades en nuestro campo de conocimiento.
La sede del Congreso, el Palacio de Congresos del Recinto Ferial de Asturias Luis Adaro, es uno de los edificios más emblemáticos de nuestra ciudad. Ubicado en las inmediaciones del Parque de Isabel La Católica, pulmón de la ciudad, la Playa de San Lorenzo y del Estadio de Fútbol del Molinón. Se encuentra en un lugar que enlaza con las principales vías rápidas de la ciudad y hasta él llegan las líneas de transporte urbano, asegurando un acceso cómodo y fluido. Su situación geográfica es inmejorable al encontrarse entre el centro urbano y los alrededores rústicos de la ciudad.

La ciudad de Gijón, ofrece mucho más que sus hermosas playas, la espectacularidad de sus montañas, los edificios culturales históricos, ofrecen un paisaje único, que despierta todo tipo de sensaciones. Con una naturaleza que te envuelve y lugares mágicos que te inspiran. Gijón es la capital asturiana de la innovación, lo que la convierte en una ciudad donde aspectos como la tecnología y la ciencia conviven con el arte y la cultura. Se caracteriza por ser una ciudad tranquila y alegre, donde es conocido el carácter amable de las personas. Por ello no nos cabe ninguna duda de que se sentirán acogidos desde el primer momento y notarán esa calidez, no sólo de su clima, sino también de sus gentes.

It is an honor for us to invite you to participate in the XII World Congress on Bioethics in the city of Gijón, May 13-15, 2024. It will be the eleventh time since the beginning of this scientific call, that this city hosts such an important event, and, therefore, we feel an enormous responsibility on the one hand, and joy and pride on the other. We hope to live up to your expectations.

The theme of the Congress «CRISPR Gene Editing. Bioethical and Legal Aspects».

We have elaborated the scientific program trying to cover the novelties in our field of knowledge.
The Congress venue, the Palacio de Congresos del Recinto Ferial de Asturias Luis Adaro, is one of the most emblematic buildings of our city. Located in the vicinity of the Isabel La Católica Park, lung of the city, the San Lorenzo Beach and the Molinón Football Stadium. It is located in a place that links with the city’s main highways and is served by urban transport lines, ensuring a comfortable and fluid access. Its geographical location is unbeatable as it is between the urban center and the rustic surroundings of the city.

The city of Gijón, offers much more than its beautiful beaches, the spectacular mountains, the historic cultural buildings, offer a unique landscape, which awakens all kinds of sensations, with a nature that surrounds you and magical places that inspire you. Gijon is the Asturian capital of innovation, which makes it a city where aspects such as technology and science coexist with art and culture. It is characterized for being a quiet and cheerful city, where the friendly character of the people is well known. Therefore, we have no doubt that you will feel welcome from the very first moment and you will feel the warmth, not only of its climate, but also of its people.
